Welcome back, this will be more of a blog/audio post you can just kick back and listen to. I wanted to record an audio type blog so that people can hear the way I think as well. In this audio clip, you’ll be able to hear me and my brother Tabias talk about a variety of topics. Since it’s mental health awareness month I wanted to discuss mental awareness for a little. I know depression can be tuff from dealing with it personally. I could wake up some days and feel down and depressed and I never knew why. My life had a major change from the period of high school to college. The change was so hectic, not because I didn’t know how to handle being on my own, but because I had to take in so much and felt I had no one to just vent to. As a man, I know society tells us we should shun our emotions and hide them, so that’s what I did. Little did I know that may be what caused my depression to truly jump off. I lost the purpose in life and while searching for my purpose I eventually lost myself. I had to get back to the basics and calm down. Life had sped up and I was still trying to walk and keep up. I had to live life to beat my depression. I had to find hobbies that interested me. I had to give things with no meaning a purpose in my life again. I know everyone can have a different encounter with depression and how it may affect you, but I would just recommend finding someone that you’re close to and just talk with them. Sometimes just talking someone’s ear off can be the therapy you need to get back on your grind.
In the audio clip, conversations can sway from how we think the way parents parent can have negative effects on their children, to just putting ourselves in their shoes as well. We’re mostly speaking from a place of experience and opinions based off how we are and how we think we’d do in certain situations. Enjoy this though, I’ll try to mix in new ways to express myself. Just writing will get old to me, so I have to spice things up. Subscribe and send me some feedback.
(excuse the constant beeps, I’m so use to hearing it I forgot it was even beeping lmaooooo)
